Welcome to River Valley Players!
Nestled along the gently rolling hillside of the Illinois River, the vibrant river community of Henry, IL is the "Best Town By a Dam Site." Not just a friendly and charming community with a bustling downtown, Henry is also home to River Valley Players, a community theater organization that has been entertaining the communities of the Illinois River valley since 1977 in a unique dinner theater experience. Since its inception, RVP has staged a wide array of shows ranging from the family friendly Sound of Music, to the fun filled antics of the Church Basement Ladies, southern strength masked by delicate grace in Steel Magnolias and the decadent night life of 1930's Berlin in Cabaret (the show that inspired RVP's founding!). RVP has become an integral part of the Henry community and will continue to be for years to come.

RVP's 2026 Season
River Valley Players is gearing up for a spectacular 2026 season in Henry, Illinois, bringing a diverse mix of beloved classics and modern favorites to the stage. Audiences can look forward to the heartfelt southern charm of Steel Magnolias and the whimsical, family-friendly adventures of A Year With Frog and Toad Kids. The energy picks up with the iconic teen spirit of Disney’s High School Musical On Stage!, followed by the imaginative, storybook-within-a-story journey of Between the Lines. Capping off the year is the hilarious musical comedy Once Upon a Mattress, ensuring a season full of laughter, nostalgia, and community talent.
