About High School Musical On Stage!

Based on the 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie, Disney's High School Musical On Stage! follows the students of East High as they navigate the complexities of social cliques, young love, and staying true to oneself.

The story begins when Troy Bolton, the star athlete and captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a shy and brilliant transfer student, meet while singing karaoke during winter break. When they reunite at school, they discover a shared passion for performing and decide to audition for the lead roles in the upcoming winter musical.

Their decision sends shockwaves through the school’s rigid social hierarchy. They must contend with the "thespian royalty" siblings, Sharpay and Ryan Evans, who will stop at nothing to eliminate the competition. Meanwhile, Troy’s teammates and Gabriella’s fellow "brainiacs" try to pull them back into their respective boxes. Ultimately, the students must learn to break the status quo and realize that they can be more than just one thing.
