Join us this summer as we return to live theatre with two youth musical productions “Shake It Up with Shakespeare” for students who have completed kindergarten-fourth grade and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for students who have completed fifth grade-ninth grade, under the direction of Robert Eckert and Christine Gaspardo. Both shows will be presented outdoors on July 23, 24, 25.
Auditions will consist of a cold reading, singing, and stage movement ( dance movements ). Readings and music etc. to be used for auditions will be posted for links available online in lieu of checking out the script
at the library.
All participants will need to purchase a choral mask for $10 which will always be worn during rehearsals and performances. We will order them for you.
Note - students may use the ones they used for school chorus if you have them already). You may not participate if you do not have a mask. We will use hand sanitizer before rehearsal and social distancing will be adhered to as well. We must insist on your cooperation in following these guidelines to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Sorry but no food or snacks will be allowed. You must bring your own water.
Parents will be asked to provide costume items which will be minimal cost. Groups will be small for all rehearsals.
